"The process of making is a celebration of life."

Make your Mark through Art!
The Art School at Old Church (TASOC) is a non-profit art school and gallery in Demarest, New Jersey. Established in 1974, TASOC has enriched the lives of at least three generations through fine art and craft classes for adults, teens, children, and families, as well as through workshops, art exhibits, outreach programs, and more. We hope you will consider purchasing some apparel to support our mission in a way that is both fun and fashionable! Through Bonfire, printing and distribution of apparel are of no cost to our organization, and a portion of all sale proceeds goes directly back into our arts programming. The design includes original artwork by John Mungiello, one of our extremely talented teachers. Here's what he had to say about his work: "...I thought [of] people walking outside, nature, what kind of footprints do we want to leave behind..." John's statement makes us think of another by one of our co-founders:
"We now live in a highly technological age, and an amazing fact is that, especially in the United States, there are hundreds of thousands of people young and old making things by hand, leaving concrete evidence of being. There has been growth of art centers and craft centers serving our primal human need to create."
- Mikhail Zakin (1920-2012)
It's been 47 years, and The Art School at Old Church remains committed to serving that primal human need to create with a wide variety of offerings for students of all ages, and from all walks of life. We hope that you will wear this joyful design proudly and join us in striving to make sure that the artistic footprints we leave behind are lasting and meaningful. Thank you for helping us put our best foot forward into the future!
