PLEASE SEE THE MEMBERSHIP & REGISTRATION PAGE TO REVIEW ALL POLICIES RELATED TO PAYMENTS, FEES, REFUNDS, AND CREDITS.
MATERIAL LISTS & FEES: Some classes and workshops require students to bring certain materials with them. Material lists can be found on our material list page. For some classes, no monetary amount is indicated, as materials can be purchased during class.
PARKING: During the day and evening (except Sunday), parking is available:
in our parking lot

on the school side of Northwood Avenue (Northwood runs perpendicular to Piermont Road and ends in front of our building).
Evenings Only: you can also park in the Demarest Middle School lot across Piermont Road.
If you are parking offsite, feel free to drop off your art materials at the back gate first.
PLEASE NOTE: Our parking lot is reserved by the Demarest Baptist Church next door on Sundays for their services. Students, faculty, and staff are not permitted to park in our lot on Sundays.

ABSENCES: Student absences are non-refundable. The school is not responsible for makeups unless we have canceled or postponed a specific class due to inclement weather or other unavoidable events.
INCLEMENT WEATHER: Decisions will be made by 7:30 am regarding morning classes, and no later than 90 minutes before afternoon and evening classes. Please call the school at 201-767-7160 to hear a detailed message. You can also check our Twitter feed, our Instagram feed, or our Facebook page for updates.
Open Studio Time
Open studio time is available in our drawing and ceramic studios.
STUDIO TIME: In an effort to manage the number of students in the building during the pandemic, we are asking you to pre-register for Studio Time spots. Please register with your name and contact information. We will NOT be taking cash for Studio Time payments, firing charges, or clay charges. Once you register for a Studio Time slot, you must either use an existing Studio Time Card, or arrange prior with the Front Desk prior to coming to Studio Time. Please review the Reopening Guidelines as we will be requiring all who enter the building to follow them.
Studio Times will be listed two (2) weeks at a time. Students are limited to pre-registering for two (2) studio times per session release.
DRAWING STUDIO: Open studio time with a model is available on Saturday mornings. Membership is not required to participate; students can register for the entire semester or attend and pay per diem. The course description for drawing open studio can be found in the drawing section of our catalog.
CERAMIC STUDIO: Ceramic studio time is available as a supplement to adult students enrolled in ceramic classes. Dates and times are subject to change based on semester, so please refer to our catalog for the latest schedule.
Ceramic Studio Handbook
Our ceramic studio handbook is available below! The handbook provides an overview of how the studio runs, as well as important studio guidelines and practices for current and prospective students.
